Treatment Nineteen

Written by Alyssa.

Mom’s treatment today went well. Mom was pretty thrilled when she was called in for treatment and the nurse offered her a heated blanket! Who would turn that down in this weather? Today Mom received both the chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment again, which is always a little more difficult for her.

Yesterday, Mom had an appointment with Dr. A and he was very happy with her response to the treatment so far, which we were very happy to hear! He is upping Mom’s level of chemotherapy today back to the amount she was getting in early December before she got sick. He has also lowered her steroid dose again.

At the appointment with Dr. A yesterday, Mom and Dad requested that her treatments be moved to an earlier time in the week, and Dr. A agreed. We are still waiting for her new schedule to be confirmed, but it does sound like her appointments will likely be moved to Tuesdays. Her treatment next week is still scheduled for Friday.

Thank you to everyone who has offered prayers and words of encouragement. God has been so good and we are always amazed at the blessing we have in this community of people who have surrounded us in support throughout this journey. Again THANK YOU! 💓

Prayer Requests:

  1. Praise God for the healing that has taken place so far.

  2. Patience for Mom as she deals with her limitations.

  3. That Mom will have a good sleep tonight.

Christus Victor (Amen) by Keith & Kristyn Getty, Cochren & Co.

“O Most High King of the ages

Great I AM God of wonders

By the blood You have redeemed us

Led us through mighty waters

Our strength our song our sure salvation

Now to the Lamb upon the throne

Be blessing honor glory power

For the battle You have won

Hallelujah Amen

O Most High dwelling among us

Son of man sent for sinners

By Your blood You have redeemed us

Spotless Lamb mighty Savior

Who lived who died who rose victorious

Now to the Lamb upon the throne

Be blessing honor glory power

For the battle You have won

Hallelujah

With every tribe and every tongue

We join the anthem of the angels

In the triumph of the Son

Hallelujah Amen

O Most High King of the nations

Robed in praise crowned with splendor

On that day who will not tremble

When You stand Christ the Victor

Who was and is and is forever

Amen amen amen

Amen amen amen

Amen amen amen

Sing the victory of the Lamb

Hallelujah Amen Amen”
